Not too bad a day here. Having a little bit of quiet time for a few hours. Son and fiancee have gone out late shopping and friends who poped in this afternoon have gone. My sister has gone home as well and hubby and I have settled down to a little rest time.

Not seen much of the Olympics last day unfortunately

Pouring down this morning, glad I did what I wanted in the garden yesterday which turned out quite a nice day .

Good morning everyone

Quite damp today but the rainhas stopped at present

Off to meet the rest of the family in a few hours at my daughter's for my grand daughter's 3 birthday dinner. All noise and bedlam as usual. looking forward to it. Can't believe both of them have grown up so fast

Good morning Shaun - I hope your weather is better than mine

Hair-do day this morning then lunch with friends then hubby and are shopping later today. No doubt by then the hair-do will have disappeared in the heavy rain by then!!!

Also I have a very nice puddle of water on the floor of the front passesnger seat in my car. Hubby thinks that it is a leak in the heater system. Fortunately the garage can take it in tomorrow to see what the trouble is but goodness knows what the cost is going to be for this

Morning everyone! I am back at school so I get SUPER FAST INTERNET, YAY!!! lol..hope you all have been well. I have four classes today, blegh. Computer Science, Chemistry, Greek, and English. Tomorrow I have Chemical Engineering and Calculus. Gah, it's gonna be tough! Have a great day everyone!

Welcome back Steph! Back at school already? Ours go back next week! I bet you're super thrilled to be back on fast internet lol. Are you still in the same room with the same students or does it all change each new year?

Well - the car was put in this morning and they will call later to let me know what they are going to do

Went shopping in M&S and got a couple of pairs of trousers in the sale and a few Per Una tops. Like Per Una stuff

Got a call from my sister-in-law who is up from England staying with her son and she is coming in about 5pm. Have decided that we will go for an Italian tonight rather than muck about in the kitchen

You lead such a busy life you're always doing something nice!

Well I cut my neices hair this morning, took a visit to see my mum. then came home and set to in the garden, chucking out all the pots of flowers that sadly have gone past it this last week. Oh well, it's looking tidier already! Need to clear the patio so I can spray weedkiller betweent he paving, get rid of some of the weeds that have also sprouted this last couple of weeks Evil or Very Mad

I see quite a few of our plants wilting away as well which will need a bit of clearing out. Still got a fair bit to clear mono-blocks but hope to get this finished before winter and get the salt and sand in. We have leaves falling here already which means a total deluge soon and out with the broom

Garage called about the car and not as bad as we thought. Need a new resister in the heating system and not a replacement heater and they're fixing the leak which is apparently coming through where the windscreen wipers are. Quoted £130 for repairs instead of the hundreds that I thought it might be - thank goodness

Raining cats and dogs here at the moment but will be having a quiet day in tomorrow after collecting my car in the morning

Not too bad a price then Hannah, glad it wasn't more serious.

Looking out the window today it's hard to believe its August still. It's so grey and gloomy and I've forgotten what sunshine looks like Sad

I'm taking my mum to the docs to have a cortisone injectionin the morning. She has painful tendonitus in her arm. So I will be shopping this afternoon instead of the morning. Highlight of my exciting day lol.

So sorry to hear about your mother's tendonitis. It's such an incapacitating and sore thing. I had that in my shoulder last year but after paying for physio and acupuncture treatment ended up at Homeopathy. They gave me tablets and muscle cream and I'm not so bothered anymore. It got to the stage that I could hardly use my left arm at all. I get a wee niggle now and then but I use my cream for a few days and that seems to sort things out again

Can't pick up my car this morning after all. Apparently they had to take out the windshield to get to the leak and because it is raining heavily this morning would prefer if we picked the car up tomorrow to let the new seal on the windshield set firmly.

Should really put a washing on but can't be bothered at the moment so will just have a quiet day being lazy
