You're right about him being a soother NOT, jeez!! My nan used to be petrified of lightning too, if a storm came, she'd open a window in case a 'thunderbolt' came down the chimney, it would have an escape route??? bless her! lol, the TV would go off too...I have never been bothered by it and love watching the forks come down on the horizon. As for thunder, when we were kids we were told that it was just God moving his furniture around up in Heaven Smile

I can see why you've had enough of cleaning Brenda, and all for good reasons, it's better to make a decision now rather than later when you're completely knackered. I have no real suggestions, just go where your heart tells you, you have to do something you like at this stage in your life, you deserve it! I know before you said you'd like to open a Mystic shop which would be a dream come true for you, have you totally given up on that idea? Maybe the flower shop could incorporate some of this? I wish you luck selling your cleaning business quickly so you can move on to better things! It's fantastic that your family is behind you 100%, thats a biggy!

Hubby came with me to work today and we still spent 2 hours down there!
I lost my temper today, now this is something I never do. I don't think Dave has ever seen me in a temper...but today I snapped.
And it was all because the stupid vacuum cleaner wouldn't do what I wanted it to...first I couldn't unravel the cord, then I tried to put the brush on the end to do the vents and it kept falling off...at the same time the poles were falling off the elbow....I just stood there and GGGGRRRRRR almost threw the stupid thing but thought twice....hubby came to the rescue, told me to calm down, fixed it all up and then went about doing the vents for me.
I felt really stupid...it wasn't the vac it was me but I have to blame the vac LOL.
I really think it's just taking it's toll and it's time I got out. I'm going to start advertising tomorrow.

That's truly a sign you've had enough Brenda lol! We've all done that before now.

OMG Shell!!! All those hours of scraping the paint off and varnishing, now you're going to repaint them? *faints* lmao ....Still you're like me, if something isn't sitting right, then it just HAS to go Wink

Well I was planning on getting some Xmas shopping done today, but the weather isn't too inviting. It's blowing a gale, the sky is as black as coal and its freezing! I may go later, and I may go another day pmsl!

wellllllll this morning when i got to school, placement day, the head asked me if i would relieve one of the ta's as she was off sick all week. i am absolutely flattered, and i feel so valued, i must be doing a good job for them to ask me and trust me. she also asked if she could pay me, but i refused, mainly because it would mess up my money if i accepted. i know some people would disagree with me, but the amount of hours i do at school i feel like i have a job anyway, and its like my way of earning my benefits, if you know what i mean. plus, this will all help towards my grade at college. anyway, i'm buzzing lol.

Awww Shell, well done you! That's so flattering to be asked, I bet you're floating on air! You've put so much hard work into it, we all know and it's nice to be shown the appreciation you deserve, and I totally understand about the money. It's all experience too, so when the kids are older and you want a job, you'll have all this under your belt!

We had some sad news last night. Stepson rang to talk to his dad. It seems that our 13th grandchild has died. Daughter-in-law was 20 weeks pregnant and yesterday she began to bleed so was rushed to the hospital. The baby girl was stillborn and aborted. Mum and dad are extremely upset which is natural but as we said, it is nature's way. There is always time for another.

That's sad news Brenda but like you I feel there is always a reason behind somehting like this although it doesn't help with the upset and grief caused

Well done Shell -Always good to feel appreciated

What a damn cold day it's been today. I don't know if it is just the weather but I do feel a sniffle coming on - I've been shivering most of the day.I hope it comes to nothing as we are hoping to go down and visit my son on Friday for the week-end. Wouldn't want to spread any germs

Should I tell you that we are experiencing 36 degrees heat here? Shall I say we had a minimum overnight temperature of 29?
If I say that I NEED to put the airy on because it is sooooo hot, would you all hate me?
I even need the airy on in my car while driving!!
When I finished work this morning I went for a drive along the esplanade alongside the beach. I was tempted to take a photo and post it but I thought you'd all hate me so I didn't.
It was absolutely beautiful...so nice and fresh.
I hate the heat...really I do!! But only if i have to go out in it LOL.

On second thought...I don't think I will tell you any of this because you are all so cold and I am hot, I don't want to make you mad at me. Embarassed
Sun (sorry it slipped in there)
