I don't know about that Debs but I try to get as much out of life as I can. When you are retired there are a lot of opportunities if you want to take them and life seems to get shorter as the years go on - why waste them.
Maybe you can give me some ideas about some simple but well cut styles that would suit a hair length hopefully soon to just below my chin??? |

In about 5 minutes time I have to go for a job interview.
I decided not to sell the business as yet, and I decided that I couldn't afford to buy the florist shop so I am going to try to get another job and then I can perhaps put subcontractors in to do my medical centre instead of me.
Fingers crossed guys LOL I have to go into the city for this...grrrr I don't like driving in to Adelaide but sometimes you just have to do things you don't wanna.....

Without seeing your face shape or knowing the texture of your hair it's hard to say Hannah. At the moment bobs are the 'in' thing, and there are so many variations on the bob that theres one to suit almost everyone. It doesn't have to be the severe bland bob of yesteryear either, soft longer layering throughout the bob will give some lift and flair to the style. You could have it shorter at the back than the front, to add some interest too. Fern Brittan has a nice variation of one, that wouldn't take too much looking after in between hairdresser days . I'm sure your hairdresser will come up with something knowing your hair
Good luck Brenda with the interview, I'm sure you'll get it
Today I'll be wrapping up pressies and finding somewhere to store them, at the moment they are scattered all around my bedroom and it looks a mess! _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

Best of luck with the interview Brenda
My hairdresser mentioned a graduated bob - cut up at the back. Don't want to be hasty after all the growing time
Haven't any pressies wrapped yet and still don't have the main pressie for my 5 year old grand daughter. Seem to have come to a halt and need to kick myself up the backside to get started again
Driving hubby for his diabetic hospital appointment this afternoon and then will need to food shop after
Have a good day everyone |

Well I managed to get a few bits for the boys today, and I sat for two hours and wrapped up all the presents I'd bought, I feel so much better now that's out of the way. I ran out of paper on the last present though, how annoying lol. The boys still havent decided what they want, they both said they'd have the cash, and I said no. I don't mind them having some cash, but not all cash as thats not what Christmas is about, I LOVE buying them things they want and seeing their faces on Crimbo morning. Besides they'd only fritter it away on sweets and McDs and crap, so I've put my foot down lol. When they have left school and home, then I can see that cash would be ok for them, but not at their ages. _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

Like you Debs when my kids got to a certain age they got some cash but not all. I liked to have a present or two to open on Christmas morning - still do the same thing and they are much older now
Having our 2 grandchilren over the week-end. In fact I had a wee laugh last night on the phone as I was informed that they are packing little bits and pieces into their bags and choosing some games to bring already.
Stripping the beds today and getting other washing underway. Housework tomorrow and a little shopping for food that the kids like as I want to go the big Christmas fair at the Scottish exhibition Centre on Friday.
Kids at the week-end then Monday - the dentist, the hairdresser and out for lunch with a friend. Out on Tuesday and by Wednesday I shall be so knacked I shall be sleeping for a week
Have a good day everyone |

lmaooo you certainly pack your time Hannah! Have fun with the grandkids, how sweet they are packing bits to bring, its nice too to have the time for them and do things with them, knowing you can have a rest when they go back home!
Well I looked after Henry this morning from 8.30 till 1pm when I took him to nursery. He brought with him his new play dough set he got for his birthday and he sat up the table with me for three hours continuous making everything under the sun lol from crocodiles to airplanes allsorts, he was so engrossed!
Tonight I'm colouring and cutting my sisters hair. Tomorrow is shopping and Henry again, and Friday I have a docs appt then taking my mum Crimbo shopping again, hopefully to finish off. So its been another busy busy week.
How'd the interview go Brenda? _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

Pretty good thanks Debs, I'm just waiting for a start now. It's only call-in casual but that's all I want for now. _________________ We're the pride of South Australia...we're the mighty ADELAIDE CROWS..... |

Hubby applied for another position at work. Well, not exactly position but site...he would still be in sales but at another office a tad closer to home. This also meant a change in hours...later start, later finish...that type of thing.
Well he came home tonight and told me that the job is his if he still wants it. Trouble is, where he is now don't want him to leave so they have talked him out of going.
It's nice to feel wanted isn't it?
Considering the place he works for wanted his services for 3 weeks only - that was 8 years ago. He started out driving a fork lift and has had 3 promotions since. _________________ We're the pride of South Australia...we're the mighty ADELAIDE CROWS..... |

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Shell - won't do any harm to let the head teacher know that you are interested in the job - get your name forward
It is nice to know that you are wanted Brenda but it is just a pity that those in business don't let the employee know in advance or give more money till they are informed that there has been another job offer. Still if hubby is happy where he is that is the most important
Got all the housework done and now relaxing for a wee while. Have a few things to iron but I will do them tonight
Have a good day |
