london tomorrow baby
it's been about 2 or 3 years since i've stayed with mates n gone clubbing, but tomorrow i'm doing the touristy/sight seeing stuff - the eye, tower bridge, big ben, etc. which i ain't done before.
should be fun, then it's shop-tastic - oxford street, shaftesbury avenue, picadilly, covent garden, soho & camden.... "yippee!" |

I went when I was a kid to Trafalgar square, but didnt stay long, dad was picking his sis up from Airport so we had to rush off. I go to London every three months to take Martin to Guys hossie lol but I never sightsee, although you can see London Bridge and that egg shaped thing from the 27th floor of Guys. I'd love to go see all the sights, and do the EYE too. _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

I hate London , lived there for a year, a few years back ,
Did all the touristy things , Buck House is a digrace-- really needs a lick of paint. |

got to london 9.30ish am, went to see tower of london & london bridge (spectacular), then went to westminster; saw big ben & the houses of parliament, walked the thames to the london eye. after this we went to trafalgar square, saw nelson's column, the big lions, the fountains, etc.
then walked up to leicester square, china-town, picadilly circus, up through soho, then oxford street. in oxford street's HMV, to our surprise, at 6pm were having the Futureheads perform live in store; they played 5 tracks, weren't too bad & it was free
apart from my excellent company the highlight of our day was going on the London Eye (anyone that doesn't know; it's like a giant ferris wheel, with people holding glass bubbles that hold about people). the eye takes approx 40 minutes to do one rotation. from so far up, you're able to take photos of parliant & almost aerial view of much of the city... £15 may seem a bit steep, but i reomend it to all readers, |

Sounds like you had a fab time Skips! Packed loads into one day too, bet you were shattered! Did you buy any souvenirs? I'll see if I can find some pics of the Eye for those who don't know what it looks like _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

The London Eye by day
and night
It's hard to imagine how big it actually is, with each carriage being able to hold quite a few people _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |
