Sounds like the sounds from our local nightclub lmao....Today Serenity is trying to install SP2 on her PC, so that she can update her AVG free...if not she will be without any virus protection!!! (the last time Serenity tried to install SP2 her PC came to a halt Evil or Very Mad

Have been upgrading to SP 2 for 2 frikkin hours now, and am resorting to using the kids PC Sad

...It's gotten to the 'finishing installation' part, and is performing cleanup. But nothing is moving and it's been sitting there for an hour Sad

....There is no close box, or cancel button, so do I sit and wait forever? or do I reboot the system and try to carry on *sigh* I hate frikkin pc's!!! or rather my ignorance of their workings Wink

Think it's finally installed only take 4 hours ffs lol

Now installing AVG 8 free, and will see if PC is stillable to run when done Shocked

Running a week OK....now it wont boot up arghhhh...just getting the black screen with promts to start in certain modes, of which I wont start in any, just goes back to the same screen *sigh*.........hope you're taking a well earned break Flea Smile

the goblin knew that this would only be one of many problems that Serenity would come across under windows, "...it's a complete wasted effort, even if the system works well under windows, along comes the next upgrade or malware and you are back mending your system like you are doing now or worse sending the computer to the repair shop to have someone do it for you, so why not save yourself the effort and money, give windows a miss and install linux, read carefully the stuff on the first link I give you, and then download linux from the second image, if you don't feel comfortable with doing it yourself, find someone who can do it for you(pop into the university there, find the guy with long hair, wooden beads smoking green tea) and ask him then..." suggested the goblin knowing that no one changes back to windows and that Serenity had suffered enough

Well my son has long hair lol but it's my brother who will be sorting it, I'm going to text him later Wink

I'm now doing the usualy, ' oh my god will I have lost all my photos' routine, when I know full well I should have backed them up yonks back *sigh*. 'I'll do it tomorrow' what a phrase!!..not only that, I have a huge list of favourites, will I ever see them again? half of them are places I visit but wouldn't know the addies off by heart...jeez I'm getting depressed now lol

slowly the goblin remembers that slot that he had left through the distraction of his dailylife, not that he hated dailylife, only that it seemed to ask for everything always from him, "...all this demand on me is its need not mine..." voiced the goblin aware that the little time he puts into "facing the slot" is probably all that sets him apart from his dailylife
