Well I know a lot of you are well under the way Xmas shopping and putting me to shame this year lol BUT I finally started today
It was pouring down by the time I got up town and I was only going to go to the bank then home as it was bitterly cold. But once I was up there I felt really Christmassy! So I thought, sod the weather I'm going to have a look round. I didn't do too well mind you , I managed to get my sisters and nans, quite easily, and also part of my sis in laws. I then went into Argos to order 4 presents I'd seen in the book the night before, only for them ALL to be out of stock fgs, I hate that grrr! lol...I then pottered in and out of the shops, and because I'd bought a big picture for my bedroom in the first shop, I was becoming irritated carrying it around by that time, not only that, my comfy boots were letting water in and my feet were getting cold with the wet, so I thought enough, time to go buy a couple of cream cakes and go have a cuppa tea round my mums lol. Which is what I did Well at least I've started! I hope the weather is better tomorrow and I'll go do some more !!
How many do you ave left to get? Have you finished? Or perhaps you're not bothering this year? _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

just a matter of interest, you can reserve stuff at argos, then pay when you go and collect it, it tells you when its in stock aswell. _________________ Housework is a complete waste of time. You just get it finished, then 6 months later you have to start all over again!

Wow thats a good idea Brenda, I don't think they do it in our town, well I've never heard of it.
I'm quite easy to please (I think lol), I love little bits like socks and knickers, perfume, costume jewelry, belts, gloves, scarves etc. Couldn't you do that Red? Get little bits and wrap them seperately in a pretty Xmas bag for your girls? _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

Perhaps someone should suggest that. We have our shopping centres as a whole complete complex and I am sure you do too, you can't tell me Australia has something more than UK, that'd be a first LOL.
You need to see centre management about that.
Anyhow, another thing my kids do is make shortbread biscuits, my son's g/f also makes chocolates, and they put then into a basket or on a small tray and wrap them in cellophane & ribbon and give them as gifts.
I have also done up some baskets in the past with little things like small soaps, bath oils or salts, maybe a fancy face flannel....also a "hamper" basket with small packets of food, little jams, tea bags that kind of stuff.
One year I bought some small light fruit cakes and decorated them and gave them as gifts....there are so many things you can do!
Check out your cheap shops for bargains! _________________ We're the pride of South Australia...we're the mighty ADELAIDE CROWS..... |

Well I went up this morning, it was a beautiful sunny and mild morning. I managed to get most of my present shopping done !!! Ohhh I feel so much better now that I've made a start. It was nice too, that I looked around and saw stuff that I knew people would like, rather than normally wandering around not finding anything I really fancy. I buy things for people that I would like for myself to be honest lol...Hopefully I can start wrapping some of them tomorrow _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |
