This is a post from one of UK forum members......
| Quote: | I've just made up a goody box to send to a soldier in Afghanistan.
I've put things like, sachets of instant coffee/chocolate, razors, shaving oil, a pair of socks, Toothbrush, toothpaste, a bar of soap etc. playing cards etc. The list is endless and is only governed by the weight.
It will go free providing the weight is under 2Kg..that's about 4lbs.
If you fancy the idea of doing one, you can use a shoe box (ideal size). Seal it well and send it :
Sergeant Ben Greer,
1310 Flight,
JHFA,
Op Herrick,
BFPO 772
He then ensures it gets to a squaddie.
Strike now for Christmas and don't forget to include a letter.
I reckon thats a darn good Christmas present.

What a brilliant idea Anne, we often forget our troops and how much they miss home comforts. I'll be looking into doing one for sure ...so do you just take it along to the PO and say 'will you send this free' it's for the troops, or what? _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |
