The one-year-old stray dog was hit by driver Marco Menozzi, who confessed he did not even stop when he clashed with the pooch.
But Mr Menozzi hit the dog at such speed that it became embedded in the grille under the bonnet of his car.
It lay trapped in the Peugeot 207 and managed to cling on until the car eventually stopped 15 miles further on.
Miraculously, the pup survived the ordeal, escaping with just a broken leg and bruising.
It is now in a police kennel looking for a new owner.
A police spokesman said: "He's a very lucky boy. He was saved because he was hit so hard.
"Any softer and he would have bounced off the car and been crushed under the wheels."
Mr Menozzi had been driving at 70mph on a side road in Cozze, southern Italy.
****OMG!!! That dog was certainly blessed! _________________ If you see someone without a smile.....give them yours |

They should name him "Lucky"
We had a dog in England that my brother bought from the pound. The dog was going to be put down the next day so my bro called him "Lucky". He was a beautiful dog. He got out one day and got hit by a taxi, he survived just having a broken leg. He couldn't go outside for days but he held on to his bladder until he was able to get up and walk outside.
Just before we left England, he followed a bitch upstairs in a block of flats...or this is what we were told....the owner of the bitch told Lucky to "shoo" so he jumped over the balcony, he thought he was on the ground floor but he was on the 10th. Lost is breath on the way down and was dead before he hit the pavement.....he wasn't so lucky in the end!
Obviously, his time was up! I still have his dog tag. _________________ We're the pride of South Australia...we're the mighty ADELAIDE CROWS..... |

Yeah, no more animals for us now. Dave doesn't like dogs, only because of how and where they do their business...means cleaning up and he doesn't want to do that.
He prefers cats because of their cleanliness.
We still have our cat...she adopted us. But once she is gone then that will be it. _________________ We're the pride of South Australia...we're the mighty ADELAIDE CROWS..... |
